Mark Messier, New York Rangers

In 1994, with his team down 3-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Devils, Messier scored a hat trick -- with all three goals coming in the third period -- in Game 6. He then scored the game-winner in Game 7 as the Rangers won their first Cup in 54 years. Oh, and by the way: Messier had personally, publicly guaranteed that now-legendary Game 6 win. Who's the man?
