In 1958, former disc jockey Clark sits at the center of a growing empire that includes "American Bandstand," and 33 other music-related businesses. Within the next couple of years, he'll be forced to sell all but his interest in "Bandstand" in order to avoid the fallout of the nationwide payola scandal.
