The term "legend" is tossed around a lot in sports, but when applied to Argentina's footballing superstar Diego Maradona, it feels almost insufficient. Currently the Argentina national team's coach who has guided them to a World Cup berth in South Africa in 2010, Maradona is, unquestionably, one of the greatest players the game has ever seen. By the time he made his professional debut for the famous Buenos Aires club, Argentinos Juniors, in October 1976, 10 days before his 16th birthday, Maradona was already a genuine phenomenon, with aficionados awestruck by his prodigious, explosive talent.
