For some six weeks, Zac Sunderland was the youngest person to ever sail around the world on his own, a journey he began at 16 and ended when he was 17. Beaten by the U.K.'s Mike Perham, just a few months his junior, Sunderland remains the first person under 18 to undertake this amazing voyage. Coastal Living has documented his adventure and recently shared their pictures with LIFE.
